Learning Activities @ ZIMA
ZIMA Film School has a learning friendly curriculum that combines compulsory theory classes with extensive practicals and film screenings under the mentorship of leading industry professionals.
The various platforms available at ZIMA Film School for constant learning are:
- FILM APPRECIATION: a bi-weekly film appreciation workshop where the students appreciate films from the perspective of various technical aspects. After the screening the students interact freely with Mentors to understand the film & film making better.
- MASTER MANTRA: a once in a month open forum where a notable guest from the Film or TV industry comes over to interact and talk about their field of specialization.
- ZIMA PREMIERES: a once in a month platform where students get to screen and share their films, music videos, documentaries with other students and also their Mentors. The learning is more as it happens on a peer to peer level.
- ZIMA FILM CLUB: its an exclusive platform where we provide indie filmmakers a screening area and an audience to show their films.
- ZIMA DIALOGUES: this is a platform where practitioners of film and TV industry come to discuss and debate various facets of film making. They also interact freely with ZIMA students, ensuring a seamless flow of experience and knowledge. These are organized in association with the film industry’s professional associations so as to increase industry-ZIMA student interaction.

ZIMA is proud to be the 1st and only film school in India offering training for Autodesk’s Flame Premium software.
ZIMA is also proud to be India’s 1st film school that has been acknowledged as Steinberg Certified Training Centre where you get to study under a Steinberg Certified Trainer.
